hit the books.

it’s serious studying time.

this is what’s on my bedside table (along with a family photo….2002 mardi gras crown….senior photo compilation….hair ties…..precious moments figurine….stretch mark lotion….journal…can you tell we’re still living at my mom’s?).

much like i felt during college finals time…i feel like i’m in the crunch time of pregnancy. where there is so much i need to know about labor/delivery/first weeks/months/years, and i’m running out of time before i know everything. obviously i won’t ever know everything….and there is no test to be passed….but i feel terrible knowing i should have been studying harder the past 30 weeks!

what books/materials helped you prepare for labor/delivery/motherhood?

  1. Your Best Birth…Jessica recommended it to me when I was pregnant with Dane. One of the authors is Ricki Lake. If you don’t have it already, I do, I’m off of work this week so can drop it off whenever you would like. If you would like to read it. Hope all else is well! Maybe see you soon, also your present should be here by the end of the week so may have that for you also! 🙂

    • I watched Ricki Lake’s documentary based on that book, but thanks! I’d still love to get together sometime, soon! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, friend! ❤

  2. The Nursing Mother’s Companion was super helpful to me! Avoid rigid structure focused books like BabyWise…they tend to stress new mommas out!!!
